RC Airpower over IAC 2022 canceled

As many of you are aware, the hard work that Mike Barbee and others put in to improving the runway at site 4 was damaged due to vehicles driving over it, creating ruts and humps. Unfortunately, we don’t have a large enough window of time from now until the event to resolved all the issues and provide for an excellent event experience for the pilots and spectators. Those issues will be addressed once the events have concluded at AMA.

For this reason, I am forced to cancel the Air Power over the IAC event for 2022.

We are moving forward with the plans to increase the safety distance between the tents and the flightline, fix the issues on the runway, and get some quality grass established so that by Labor Day weekend of 2023, the Air Power over the IAC event can enjoy a quality flying site.

For those of you who have Pre-Registered and paid your fees, you will receive a full refund, including any tent rental payments you may have made, and also we want to give you a gift card for $15 to use at the AMA Store to encourage you to come to the event in 2023. Please look for a separate email directly from me with that information shortly.

Again, thanks so much for the support so many of you have offered to get this inaugural event established. A special thank you to R.J. Monroe for all the help and support he has given to me. I also want to thank the Warbirds and Classics Alliance for including this event in their schedule for 2022

Please make a spot in your event schedule for Air Power over IAC for 2023, August 31 – September 2, Labor Day weekend!
